Bedroom Tour

Yay it's Thursday! That means the weekend is only one day away & I can't wait!

I am really excited to share today's post with you -- I'm giving you a tour of my bedroom! Most of the decorating was done about a year ago, but I'm constantly adding pieces and changing things around.

Also, I want to put a disclaimer out there. 9 times out of 10 my room does not look this clean & organized. I actually moved a lot of clutter out of the way so that I could take these pictures. I always want to be real on this blog, and being real means telling you that I'm always a mess! :)

Anyways, let's get started!

This is a view of my room when standing in the hallway. It's kind of hard to tell in all these pictures, but the wall color is a pinky/beigey nude color (really good description, I know! haha). I don't know the color off hand, but it is a Behr paint bought at Home Depot.

One of my favorite parts of my room is the "gallery wall" above my desk, (which you will see more of in a second) and I love that it is one of the first things you see when entering my room.

To the left is my dresser. When I bought this dresser (from Target I believe) it was in pieces & I'm proud to say that I put it together all by myself. It hasn't fallen apart yet! (Knock on wood ;))

I got the lamp on clearance at Target last year for only $5. Gotta love a good deal!

This "Great Commission" print was given to me by one of my best friends, Dayleen. She actually asked me for my favorite Bible verse and then designed this print specifically for me! Isn't it awesome?

This vintage globe is one of my favorite pieces in my room. I got it from Odana Antiques in Madison, WI. It fits perfectly next to the print!

Next is my desk/office area. This is probably my favorite part of my room. I just love looking at it! The desk is from Target & it was really easy to put together. The chair is an old stool from Ikea.

I actually sit on my bed when I'm working during the day, but my computer does look nice when I actually put it on the desk -- haha!

As I mentioned before, I love the "gallery wall" above my desk. The frames are all from different places (Home Goods, Target, etc.) The floral print & yellow print (it says "Hello Sunshine") are from Rifle Paper Co.  The Madison postcard is from a shop on State Street in Madison, WI. The Wisconsin Union chairs picture was gifted to me. The wood panel wall art & the Wisconsin map print are both from Etsy shops (I don't recall the shop names - sorry!).

These vintage books are also from Odana Antiques and I have never read them -- I just liked the colors! :)

The white memo board & desktop chalkboard are both from the $3 section at Target (best section of the store - can I get an amen?!) I usually change the design on the chalkboard once a month, so it is still 4th of July themed at the moment. What should I put on it for August?! Let me know your ideas in the comments.

This canvas pen holder is also from Odana Antiques. The glass milk jar is from a shop in downtown Racine, WI called Humble Home - it's an old "Progressive Dairy" milk container, which also used to be located in Racine!

This bookshelf is a mess, but it holds all my papers & books for work. Also,  it has the one display of Badger pride in my room! :)

I got this ladder shelf at a thrift store in Eau Claire, WI. It was only $5 and came in the mint color. The paint is peeling and such, but it  totally adds to the vintage look.

The pillows on my bed were all hand sewn by my talented cousin Amber. If you think anything in my room looks good, it's nothing compared to her beautiful home! We love designing and crating when we get together!

I DIY-ed this canvas about two years ago. It was inspired by the hymn "Come Thou Fount."

I made this little canvas at the same time as the big one. They were so simple to make!

1. Buy a blank canvas - whatever size you want.
2. Use letter stickers & tape to make whatever design you desire - make sure you press them down so the edges stick really well.
3. Paint your color of choice over the sticker design you made.
4. Let the paint dry slightly, then peel the stickers off (these parts will remain white), then let the paint finish drying.

I mentioned the hymn "Come Thou Fount." It's one of my favorites, so when I found this print at Hobby Lobby (a design & styling enthusiast's dream store!), I just couldn't pass it up!

Thanks for taking a tour of my room with me! If you have any questions about anything you see, just let me know!

Have a great Thursday!
